Tessenderlo Group's French subsidiary Caillaud is changing its name to AKIOLIS

On 1 November 2008, the holding company of the Caillaud Group changed its name to AKIOLIS.
This is with a view to the international development of its activities, focused on valorisation of organic by-products from animal or vegetable origin, resulting from the food chain.
Three divisions will be created by 2009/2010:
ATEMAX - Environment and health safety division, which will cover all rendering activities;
AKIOLIS Valorisations - valorisation of organic by-products which are:
- animal: SOLEVAL
- vegetable: SR COLLECTE
AKIOLIS Bioénergies - grouping the planned biofuel production activities from animal fats.
AKIOLIS specialises in the collection, processing and valorisation of organic by-products on authorised markets (energy production, animal feed and petfood, fertilisation, lipid chemicals, gelatin). It employs 1,100 people over 13 industrial sites and 34 intermediary collection centres.
