Wire and Cable

The products developed by CTS are mainly for use in electric cables but are also used in the building industry for the protection of steel cables.

Three groups of products are available:

Tefabloc®

High quality thermoplastic elastomers for sheathing and insulation, Tefabloc® products are aimed at injection and extrusion and can be flame resistant and certified to class 3 (125°C - 3000h) of the automotive standards.
Outside the automotive market, these products are used specifically in products subjected to extreme conditions such as extremely low temperatures, contact with oil and hydrocarbon and chemical compatibility for overmoulding on PU, TPU, PA, PP, POM etc.

HIFAX compound

CTS is licensed by LyondellBasell in the production of HIFAX compounds (TPO) destined for the insulation and sheathing of automotive wiring.
These products are certified to the class 3 requirements (125°C) of the automotive standards. They are flame resistant, and are available with a halogen level below 12%, or halogen-free.

Marvylex®

Based on PVC technology, the Marvylex® products are available for class 1 (80°C), class 2 (105°C) and class 3 (125°C) of the automotive standards. Their unique stabilization system based on CaZn technology means that these products are free from heavy metals. In addition, specialised formulations are available for use in moulding.

All of the wire and cable solutions made by CTS are in line with EU directives 2000 / 53 EC (End of Life Vehicle), and 2002 / 95 EC (RoHS: The limitation of certain dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equipment).
