Tessenderlo Group's global business strategy can be summarised as follows:
Take leading market positions in niche markets
Increase the share of specialty activities to 70 % of revenue by 2012. In order to do so we will:
Focus on businesses that combine services and valorisation of by-products (TKI, Water Treatment, Akiolis)
Strengthen our gelatin activity's top-three position in the world
Develop our Plastic Pipe Systems activity in Europe
Increase profitability on a continuous base
Achieve a return on capital employed (ROCE) of minimum 12 % in all businesses by 2012
- Favour alliances wherever they can increase competitiveness of our commodity businesses
