PVC: flexible (PVC-P) and rigid (PVC-U) compounds in granulates or premixed form
TPE: Thermoplastic Elastomers based on different product groups such as TPE-S, TPE-SV, TPE-O and
TPE-U
Overview
CTS as a whole is the business unit bringing together brands belonging to Cousin-Tessier (F) and TCT-Polska (PL). CTS thus makes up the compounds section of Tessenderlo Group, which develops and produces PVC and TPE compounds.
With genuine expertise in its markets with regards to both Research and Development and commercialisation, CTS intends to take up a leading position in specialised markets for highly specific products.
Through its international sales network, comprising sales offices, agents, and distributors, the group's products are marketed all over the world.
CTS TPEs are delivered worldwide to global customers for products such as airbag covers, a niche market in which the company is ranked number one in Europe and number three worldwide. Beside TPEs, CTS specialty PVC compounds are designed for highly specified applications were strong properties long term ageing withstand and perfect visual aspect are requested. CTS is making significant advances within its specialised markets with a notable example being automotive dynamic window seals where Téfabloc® TPE-S (thermoplastic compound HSBC based) is the first of its kind to be used for such purpose. Other noteworthy advances have been made in the field of building window seals in which CTS has two decades of experience.
The CTS compounds are also used within the major industries: construction and electrical, automotive, cable, consumer and shoe manufacturing. The applications include injection moulding and extrusion for use in pipe systems, cables, hoses, shoe soles, airbag covers, seals, grips of consumer goods, window frames and seals etc.
The many different applications across diverse market segments require speed of reaction, an important know-how and expertise in production, R&D and Marketing and a worldwide organisation for sales.
