In this respect, we are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager. You will be employed in our Tessenderlo Innovation center, reporting to the VP IP, Growth Projects and Regulatory Affairs.

  • You have regulatory accountability for agricultural activities (sulfur based chemistry for fertilizers and support for organic fertilizers) and industrial solutions (coagulants and other chemicals for either the treatment of wastewater or the purification of drinking water);
  • You are the thought leader/expert in regulatory affairs internally and externally or develop yourselves in this direction. Internally, you bring regulatory trends and risks early on to the attention of decision makers and provide adequate and pragmatic regulatory advice as well as ideas to turn these trends and risks into opportunities for the company (sustainability, EU Green Deal, ….);
  • You develop, own and enable the REACH compliance process & secure all necessary registrations group wide (all Business Units);
  • You define and implement the Regulatory & REACH strategy in order to ensure that the business units are compliant and managed in a sound way according to product legislation and have the necessary Licenses-to-Operate and/or Sell;
  • You register new products according to the REACH legislation or other product legislations (licence to operate);
  • You provide expert advice & coordinate all activities concerning Regulatory Affairs and give input concerning these matters in several other business processes (like advising commercial teams, production, innovation department);
  • You develop, own and enable compliance with product legislation: license to sell (place on the market) for biocides, fertilizers, food chemicals;
  • You perform Risk Assessment of all chemical substances of the business units in the framework of REACH and other product legislations;
  • You ensure regulatory compliance in case of product or process changes;
  • You advise on various aspects of the management and production of all existing products, in order to provide several departments with regulatory input and trainings that concerns them regarding product safety and regulatory and REACH compliance;
  • You advise on various aspects of product development, R&D, industrial development and engineering, in order to provide several departments with regulatory input that concerns them;
  • You are externally strongly connected with Regulatory organizations and peer functions/groups and are a regarded as a credible regulatory expert.


  • You have a Master degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in an chemical direction. or equivalent by experience;
  • You have regulatory experience or a strong affinity for this profession;
  • In depth knowledge on toxicology is a plus;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of French is a plus
  • You are capable of working accurately and independently in a team setting;
  • You have excellent organizational skills, you are trustworthy and responsible;
  • You have strong and open communication skills;
  • You are flexible, willing to go the extra mile, hands-on mentality & pro-active attitude.
