Job description

We are actively looking to appoint a Yard Assistant to join our successful team in our Norwich branch. If you have a hands on attitude, excellent customer service outlook and are willing to learn (including full training to drive a fork lift truck) then we want to hear from you. This is a long term career opportunity for a hardworking, flexible individual who can work as part of a team!

In this role as a Yard Assistant some of the duties involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck / telehandler (outdoor working is required)
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required
• Customer interaction

About you:

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
• Literacy & Numeracy
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment

Profile

Desirable:

• A good knowledge of computers
• Forklift truck licence
