Tessenderlo Group releases revolutionary Claro™ Bio-Ink

Tessenderlo Group is proud to present Claro™, a range of revolutionary tissue-engineering products. ClaroBGI600, the first product in the range, combines all of the advantages of gelatin with previously unseen levels of flow.

A small group of scientists within Tessenderlo Group has realized a breakthrough in 3D bio-printing. ClaroBGI600 is a gelatin for use in bio-ink formulations with a proven printing time of up to 2 hours. It therefore successfully resolves the printer clogging problems that are typically experienced when printing with gelatin. At the same time, it maintains the excellent tissue-engineering properties of gelatin, such as high bio-compatibility.

This new gelatin reduces the costs of creating 3D-printed tissues as compared to existing bio-inks. Furthermore, ClaroBGI600 does not contain printability enhancers. The propriety Claro™ technology enables printing with lower pressure and excellent shape fidelity, without affecting the bio-compatibility and final gel strength of the construct. This makes it the perfect material for 3D printing tissue engineering applications. ClaroBGI600 can be ordered at www.claro.science.

Claro will be exhibiting at the Biofabrication & Biomanufacturing Europe 2019 event, which will take place from June 20-June 21, 2019, in Rotterdam. To book a timeslot to meet with our scientists, please contact flow@claro.science.
