To help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure, we are looking for a Workplace Engineer. Together with a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security, you:

  • Manage and monitor all installed Windows systems and the Microsoft 365 platform, ensuring the highest levels of systems and workplace availability.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools, as Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MS Intune)
  • Develop documentation and procedures for your colleagues at service desk and in the different entities.
  • Design, build, maintain and monitor the infrastructure components.
  • Provide 3rd level application support for our internal client base.
  • Report on application deployment progress and baseline compliance.
  • Incident, request and problem management.
  • Apply standard operating procedures and actively contribute to continuously improve operational processes.
  • Duty Support (24/7, on call every 5 weeks)

You report to the Hosting Team Lead.

Profile

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Equivalence by experience.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting:
    • Microsoft Windows Server/Azure & Client OS/O365
      • GUI Admin - Domain Controller (AD/GPO/ADFS/etc.) 
      • PowerShell  - Command Line
      • Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
      • Experience, preferably in Azure (Office 365)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Windows end-user environment.
  • Experience with deployment of Win10-11 (OS/upgrade/etc.).
  • Experience with third parties for workstation, i.e. BitLocker, Bios management, Conditional Access (MFA), Mobile Device Management (MAM & MDM), etc.
  • MS Intune experience including baseline management and custom reporting.
  • Operational knowledge, Advanced Installer, PowerShell, MSI and other packaging/scripting technologies.
  • Good knowledge of IT Security Principals and overall understanding of IT Service Management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to do in-depth troubleshooting of application issues, i.e. MSI technology, read and understand installation logfiles, etc.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the common office applications to be able to deliver application support to end-users.
  • Customer-oriented team player with good communication skills in Dutch-English or French-English, both written and verbally.
  • With your proactive approach, you keep on spotting opportunities for simplification and automation.
  • Willing to travel occasionally (max. 1-3 weeks/year) within Europe.
